My Thinking Chair

My Grandpa made me a special chair from a piece of my thinking tree for Christmas. I have it in the corner so I can read and think about stuff. It is really heavy. My Grandpa took a piece of the trunk and made it into a seat. You can count all the rings. My tree was as old as my Mom. It has 32 rings. It was a really old tree. I am thankful to have a part of my tree.

The end

Ben, that's so nice that you have a part of your old tree to remember forever. I am glad you have a grandpa that can do things like that for you.

My Grandpa worked really hard on my chair. He is a really cool guy. He plays with us and lets us play baseball in the living room.

**** Note from Mom**** This is a Koosh ball/mini bat version of baseball, not the real thing.

What a BEAUTIFUL chair! And you have got an AWESOME Grandpa, too! I got tears in my eyes when I saw your post about the chair. And I got a little chuckle about the number of rings on that ancient tree matching your mom's age! Enjoy that thinking chair. You should be able to do some serious thinking sitting on that! Way cool!

It is not my tree but it is still really cool and I can move it where ever I want to think.  I still wish I had my tree but, when it is yucky outside I can still sit on it and not get cold or wet. It is really special because it was my tree and my Grandpa made it because he loves me.

I have the coolest Grandpas ever. My Grandpa John made my chair and my Grandpa Mike made my blocks.
